Entry Description

The RBHS Orchestra performs "Double Violin Concerto."

Judge 1

Positives: The dissolves worked well during your transitions. The audio was mixed well and consistent during the performance.

Improvements: I don't know how limited you were with your camera shots - I would have liked to see more variety. The one wide shot seemed crooked. Be careful with your moves. It almost seemed like a mis-communication between the director and the camera operator - that the camera was moving and shouldn't have been taken at that time. Good effort!

Judge 2

Positives: camera angles sound

Improvements: iris adjustments focus issues

Judge 3

Positives: The capture of the sound of the orchestra was a fairly good mix. The shot at 1:12 featuring the violinist that then turns to a cello dissolve was attractive.

Improvements: At times the wrong an instrument was up on screen with minor movement when the instrument(s) leading that phrase should have been featured. The shot of a violinist playing from her backside was a poor selection. Shots from the back only work if the instrumentalist is keyed within a spotlight frame of light and audience is apparent.
