Annelise Potter, an Irish step dancer, performs on stage at the 2014 Glenbrook South Variety Show.

Judge 1

Positives: Some of the moving shots were effective - kept the piece moving and kept it interesting. Nice use of static shots on her feet (would have liked to have seen a few more!)

Improvements: In a dance performance like this that has a lot of movement, it's difficult to follow the performer with the camera. Sometimes it's more effective to use several angles of static shots with dissolves, so your dancer doesn't dance out of frame. Be careful with your ending - the move should be complete with the end of the dance/music. Very good effort!

Judge 2

Positives: Cut shots. Lighting.

Improvements: Camera should lead the action more. Tight shots a little too tight for the speed of the action.

Judge 3

Positives: Nice camera move at the very top - good even zoom into the tap shoes. Nice finish re: camera work.

Improvements: The mix of tap shoes with music could be improved...at times you could barely hear the tapping. The exposure levels of the cameras were not in sync - some were darker and others were lighter.
