Entry Description

This is a original news story I did on a new addition to Neuqua Valley High School. What made this story interesting is that it was given to Neuqua by a Student. I shot and Edited the entire story and I think it turned out great!

Judge 1

Positives: Nice variety of b-roll good interviews

Improvements: use a tripod for b-roll voice over at end sounds like a phone

Judge 2

Positives: A very concise story and some good footage to support it!

Improvements: The final sign-off was of a much lesser audio quality than the rest of the piece. Please make sure all audio is uniformly recorded and mixed. There didn't seem to be a motivating reason behind the shaky handheld camera movement. If the story doesn't call for it, consider using a tripod for more fluid movement.

Judge 3

Positives: Very good shot composition. Editing was clean and smooth throughout the piece.

Improvements: Narration audio could be better captured and mixed.
