Entry Description

This is our school's annual senior awards ceremony. This ceremony is attended by all the senior class and their families. It honors the best of the best seniors and announces scholarship winners as well as top students in athletics, arts, and clubs. It also is where the distinguished teacher and distinguished alumni awards are presented. It is a 5 camera live shoot. Our crew films it and creates all the graphics for the production. The entire production is over 3 hours long.

Judge 1

Positives: I like the framing of the award announcers with the big screen behind them. I liked the use of graphics lower third with the winners names.

Improvements: Many audio issues here - I'm not sure if this was an audio board problem or an upload problem, but during the second announcement, the audio cut out all together. You should check the upload! Another audio issue - if possible, it would have sounded better to have the music played directly into the audio board, rather than hear it through the school speakers.

Judge 2

Positives: lighting good video quality good

Improvements: bad audio graphics cover the screen too much/too long

Judge 3

Positives: Nice use of graphics. Nice use of bringing light up on second speaker. The shot at top had the speaker framed with the video output of the large screen projection - that actually looked pretty good

Improvements: Sat on the student at podium at 1:10 - way too long while music broke out and action on another part of stage. Audio was intermittent on the recording I saw...that may have been Internet - but it appeared to be a malfunction of audio recording.
