Entry Description

This is my documentary.

Judge 1

Positives: I liked the music. It fit well with the story and the ranch. The varied camera shots worked well. The number of participants who were interviewed worked well.

Improvements: I think the owners spoke a little too long. It would have been improved if there were more shots of the activities at the ranch while they were talking. There was not much done in the way of using lighting elements.

Judge 2

Positives: Good solid story line. The development is clear and the message can be inferred. The sound was well thought out. The music in the background does not overpower those speaking. Good use of live shot vs. pictures.

Improvements: Be careful not to use the same pictures when you cut back in. I saw the native american on the horse twice. It would have also been good to see the people talking in different venues to create interest points. Again, looking for innovation. I think there's a little in the topic itself, but in the video I don't see something popping out at me. I know that the ranch does a lot for the community but is there someone in the community who has a real deep story to share?

Judge 3

Positives: Events and message presented in a logical order. Great action shots.

Improvements: transitions are choppy, more video enhancement needed. The female speaker is talking off the cuff. Better scripting needed.
