Entry Description

Performance by the all male a cappella group Nine.

Positives: Nice variety of shots! A complex song, to be sure, and the angles and use of various shots kept it interesting. Audio was very well done - consistent and smooth - very important during a cappella. I liked your choice of editing where to begin so you could let the song carry out to the end. Nice job!

Improvements: Be careful with the camera work - there were a couple of jerky moves in there. Make sure your white balance is consistent on all cameras. There were a couple side angles that looked a little yellow, compared to a couple front shots that were a tad blue. Overall great effort!

Positives: Everything worked for me.

Improvements: Nothing

Judge 3

Positives: Good camera work on the follow of the lead singer at 1:06/1:07 Nice zoom in at 1:22

Improvements: Camera color temperatures don't match. One camera is too blue - one is too red (and I'm not referring to the backgrounds). Director took 2 CU shots of lead singer from different sides and cut them back-to-back - that's known in the business as "breaking the plane" (you don't do this unless you have a different kind of shot between the close-ups - like a wide shot of the stage - then you can break the plane)
