  • 4/23 10:11 pm - Nice steady shots, good use of overlays to show the phone messages. Simple concept, clearly conveyed. Nice glitch effect. I like the contrast of the music to convey the switch of tone. Effective use of text at the end.
  • 2/26 1:05 pm - STORY: this is a rare topic for a PSA, but I feel like you committed to it and did a good job visualizing how it can manifest. The best part of this was the cross cutting between the imagined girl and the real predator. PRODUCTION: your production for the opening scene was solid; nice shots and cutting to different angles, close ups, and over the shoulder shots. The sound effects and ominous music worked well for the ending scene.

Positives: Sound effects and visuals are excellent for showing who the scary person is, probably at the other end of the conversation. Audio levels were consistent and correct.

Improvements: The graphics were not up long enough to read. The 2 shot on the couch was boring. Lighting really could have added to that scene. The change in angle helped.

Judge 2

Positives: 1 - the edited cut from the victim's phone to the predator's phone 2 - the over lay of the text message in the edtiing

Improvements: 1 - the video effects from the "fake" girl to the "real" predator and back were too busy 2 - could not take the two kids seriously

Judge 3

Positives: The use of motion graphics worked well with the message. The call to action was clear and well conveyed. The quick cut between the female and male worked great in showing the true perspective.

Improvements: Some of the sound effects and audio could have been a little more balanced. A wider variety of shots could have been used in the starting scene to add to the variety.
