  • 4/23 10:12 pm - The text is a little tough to read and it's important that the message is understood. I really like the concept of the pen and the common story, but it is not quite as clear as it needs to be in order to call to action. Maybe more stories of other student's shared experiences, not just the few. Shots are steady, well lit, mostly clear audio.
  • 2/26 1:13 pm - STORY: this message wasn't quite clear. You showed a variety of students dealing with basic life as a teenager, but there wasn't enough story to show how anything they were going through was truly stressful or anxiety-inducing. It just didn't go deep enough. The title is You Are Not Alone....but nobody was really alone in the video. PRODUCTION: a lot of shots and shot variety, decent pace of editing, lighting and exposure was fine. Audio levels were a little hot at times and the music bed might have been too high in the mix.
Judge 1

Positives: Excellent work on the audio for the dialogue. Great use of a variety of angles and close, medium, and wide shots.

Improvements: The graphics are not title-safe. They could have had a border so that they would have been easier to read. From the images presented, I didn't get the message. I was surprised by the graphics, as I didn't get that from the video.

Judge 2

Positives: 1 - great use of different voices and different scenarios 2 - the repeated use of the pen

Improvements: 1 - hard to tell storyline 2 - edited video changes did not sync with font changes over last montage

Judge 3

Positives: There were a wide variety of camera angles and shots throughout the piece. The lighting was consistent throughout. Multiple filming locations added to the variety of the piece. The music complimented the tone of the video.

Improvements: The background music was too loud and overpowered the dialogue at times. Overall message was somewhat unclear and several of the shots felt disconnected from each other. More time could have been utilized for the viewer to read the text on screen.
