  • 4/17 9:45 am - Story - Interesting aspect of covering IHSA basketball when it is not your home school. Well written script and articulate conversation between the two hosts. Production Value - Audio was perfect. Camera had a lot of speaking room. Great use of b-roll to keep the story engaging. Talent - Great knowledge and/or research on the topic.
  • 4/4 9:02 am - Great conversation and live switching throughout. Hosts are knowledgeable but look at laptops a bit much. The blue light form the background is a bit intense and is noticeable on the hosts hair throughout. Great job with the roll in's and the conversation was interesting.
  • 3/5 10:37 am - Great use of B Roll footage- would have been helpful for voiceovers to be a little more specific to the video footage. Such a detailed/specific video like this one would have helped to see either more video/pictures I can tell that these topics were very well researched!

Positives: Both anchors seem comfortable on camera. This dialogue comes across as a conversation rather than going over a list of bullet points or sticking to only what's in the script. This was a natural conversation that you both seemed interested and invested in. Great set, shots, graphics and sound. This is on par with college and even some professional sets. As a bonus, both anchors are dressed very professionally! It is clear you both put time and care into your analysis as well as how you appear on camera, which helps the audience respect you and trust what you have to say.

Improvements: Don't be afraid to leave in natural sound from your b-roll at a low level. It immerses the viewer in the game and helps them better understand your analysis.

Positives: 1. These gentlemen made me feel like I was watching sportscenter. They were well informed of sports news all over Illnois and had a great deal to say about all of it. 2. The b-roll was natural and fit the events they were talking about.

Improvements: 1. The close up angle of the gentlleman on the left wastes a lot of space on the screen. Position him closer to the center because he is the subject, not the tube light in the background.
