  • 4/24 3:21 pm - This was great! Interesting concept and very well shot. Adding a touch of humor to the horror genre also gave it a nice, memorable touch. I think you have a bright future ahead as filmmakers!
  • 4/23 12:51 pm - This was a lot of fun and had some great footage. You have a very cool concept, similar to Hitchcock's The Birds, and the tension that was built was effective because of the music and shots. Some points to think about, your sound design could use some work as it was hard to hear some dialogue. Also, some of your shots could use color correction to provide a more horror-like feel. Keep up the good work, you're off to a great start.

Positives: -Artistic: nice variety of shows and videography

Improvements: -Confusion: a little confused about the overall plot -Audio: make sure to sync up vocals

Judge 2

Positives: - Fantastic use of bass-y, dramatic piano and cutting the piece to that tempo. - There are some nice camera movements, much as the tracking into the guy on the computer, and the rack-focus to the cable attached to the feather.

Improvements: - There are a few shots of birds that could be swapped (or at least color graded) to feel a bit more menacing starting at 1:09. - The piece seems to be shot at some different frame rates throughout. It would be nice to see everything at 24fps to give it that consistently "cinematic" look.

Positives: Opening shots lit and framed appropriately. Good shot o lead picking up feather.

Improvements: Would like to see more inserts of the drones, as a credible threat. News report should have been shot as a newscast with b-roll or stock footage of birds.
