  • 4/25 2:59 pm - Such a clever concept and very meta. I like that you created a mockumentary for this promo for the musical. I think it ties in very well with the theme of the show.
  • 4/24 10:00 pm - Fun concept. Good editing pace and variety of shots. Very good performances from the actors. Well-written script. A few very funny moments, though maybe it could use a few more. Overall a solid little mockumentary that would be perfect to promote the school musical.
  • 4/21 2:09 pm - Music selection works well with the images you recorded. Editing is well done. Good variety of different camera angles throughout the video. Keep producing more videos.

Positives: Great job using the mocumentary framework and getting a lot of people in the spotlight. Acting was really good. I liked your editing between rehearsal shots and mini-interviews.

Improvements: Felt like it just kind of ended with no conclusion. Some sort of resolution like it started with the director or Gretchen wrapping it all up would have been nice.

Positives: A mockumentary is NOT an easy thing to pull off! But this is done with just the right amount of sincerity and skill to make it work. The pacing and editing show just the right amount of interviews and rehearsal footage. Good choices of what to feature in the rehearsals to demonstrate what is being implied in the interviews.

Improvements: The performances seemed... a little over the top. I don't think you needed to name it "The Mockumentary" since that was pretty obvious upon viewing. Knowing what we were getting into beforehand made the interviews feel a little less authentic and more like actors acting. But, overall, this was fun to watch! Seems like the director is a fan of Christopher Guest... and if they aren't, they should be!

Positives: Great job using the testimonial-style interviews. Lots of funny gags here, particularly associated with how Sasha was developed.

Improvements: While this is always easier said than done, especially in a shorter narrative, I would have liked to have seen some sort of change in the primary character by the end of the film. All around great work, and it looked like it was a ton of fun to make!
