Judge 1

Positives: interesting camera shots of giraffes. crystal clear video quality.

Improvements: background noise was a distraction.

Judge 2

Positives: The zookeeper guest is a knowledgeable expert interview subject. There are more things to learn about these animals than most people realize. Keeping a sense of humor when working with animals and the unexpected.

Improvements: Although the shots were bright, the rapid camera movement was a little disorienting. Perhaps a wider shot would have helped keep the animals in frame better. The audio had a bit of an echo but with the ceilings so vaulted, perhaps there was no way around that. A little bit more of the high school reporter on camera would give the piece a more professional look.

Judge 3

Positives: The camera work was good. Shots were well framed. Nicely edited and good use of B-roll

Improvements: At the 1:27 mark, you could hear someone laugh. It sounded like the camera operator. Utilizing establishing shots, especially at the beginning would help the viewer relate better.
