Entry Description

Two friends torn apart

Judge 1

Positives: Nice shot compositions and great use of video effects. The music and sound effects really added to the dramatic feeling. Good timing on your edits.

Improvements: Some of the actor audio was difficult to hear. Maybe a few too many titles, especially towards the end.

Judge 2

Positives: Fantastic opening shot; Very effective to start the trailer in the middle of a tense scene. The viewer is immediately engaged with the story. Clearly communicates the film's premise and made me want to see more.

Improvements: The story is strong enough that you don't need to repeat the opening shot at the end, just back to a snowy field then the final shot. I think a much quicker pace after the letter scene would really convey the mindset of the character through editing.

Judge 3

Positives: There were some beautiful shots, and the lightning effects were very cool. Showed some great use of composition especially in the beginning

Improvements: It was odd that you could see the actors were talking but couldn't hear what they were saying. Being able to hear the dialogue could improve your story development. Also some of the scenes felt long like of the one of him running. That could be edited down.
