The Broadcast Journalism class at RBHS produces a news episode every Friday that airs on the weekends for the entire first semester. This is the last live news episode for the semester. Directed by Michael Frushour. Produced by Robert Ripoli.
Positives: good open great graphics
Improvements: packages not lit/white balanced well interview audio needs better isolation (too much room noise)
Positives: Very professional shots, with solid framing making room for your over the-shoulder-graphics. Subjects are well lit, adding to the overall production value of the broadcast.
Improvements: Anchors could have used a bit more rehearsal, so as to be tighter with their cues. There seemed to be a disconnect between the director in the booth and the talent on the floor, which lead to a few noticeable lags in switching. Again, rehearsal, will improve this director-anchor relationship. Audio was a bit hot at certain points.
Positives: Talent were all well spoken and articulate The set, intro video, and graphics all worked very well for the show.
Improvements: Talent needs to just become more comfortable reading from the prompter. Directing needs to be tightened up. Late switches between cameras really hinder the overall look and feel of the show.
