Entry Description

The Glenbrook South Report is a weekly news program which has become very popular with the Glenbrook South student body. Every week, Janie Kahan has a variety of different students appear on the program to display Glenbrook South through a different perspective. This show gives announcements, highlights the Model U.N. team, and also has an interview with a basketball captain. Enjoy!

Judge 1

Positives: cool open good packages

Improvements: anchor a bit overexposed interview audio too low

Judge 2

Positives: Fantastic intro! This is on par with most professional packages, and excellently shot. Your talent is very articulate, personable, and well rehearsed. Pacing is very tight. Camera work is framed well, and balanced expertly.

Improvements: Audio could have been improved in the video packages (a bit hot, and peaking.) The ending signoff could have been stronger. It just kinda ended!

Judge 3

Positives: Strong host with strong supporting talent and guest. The whole show was creatively organized to present the information in an entertaining and informative way. Shows strong directing ability to be able to manage so many cameras, talent, effects and differnt show styles (I.e. announcements to a live interview).

Improvements: The show started very strong but unfortunately ended much weaker. The jump cut after the interview to introducing the higjlight reel needs to be much smoother. Also, with such a slick intro video, I was expecting something similar at the end. However, it seemed like the show came to a sudden hault. Great pace up until this point.
