Entry Description

This is an act from our school's variety show. The broadcasting crew at the variety show is responsible for all video elements including live production numbers and pre taped videos. Our crew of 10 directs, produces, edits and films the entire production. It's completely student produced.

Judge 1

Positives: I absolutely loved the variety of shots used during this performance! I can't think of one angle you missed! The dissolves were appropriately placed and made sense, even adding to the mood of the performance. Nicely done piece of work!!

Improvements: Can't find much to improve! One camera move was a tad bumpy - be careful when you're zoomed in, as it doesn't take much to interfere with a push. Excellent effort.

Judge 2

Positives: Composition in dissolves. Lighting. Sound.

Improvements: Some focus issues.

Judge 3

Positives: Nice half dissolves with two different shots. Very good audio mix.

Improvements: Out of focus camera shot would have worked better if it would have been paired up with a dissolve The shot from the rear of the guitarist added nothing - had there been audience in the background - it might have been a valid choice for the director to make.
