Entry Description

With winter coming soon, the momma red bird and poppa blue bird fight against the forces of nature to build a nest for their babies. Will they have enough time?

Judge 1

Positives: The use of subtle movement of materials was great, I loved the rain. The music worked well with the narrative, cute story.

Improvements: My only criticism would be the uneven exposure, some frames were much darker than others.

Judge 2

Positives: Wonderful use of what seemed to be stop animation for the entire piece. Great visual story telling and the music went well with the movements. Good use of created artwork and found objects. Very well done.

Improvements: I have no comments for improvement. I thoroughly enjoyed the presentations as-is.

Judge 3

Positives: • Beautiful narrative based on an exquisite animation technique • Well thought out Interplay of various shots (close ups, medium, wide shots) builds up the tension and anticipation

Improvements: Perhaps build a bit more drama before rewarding the viewer with beautiful deliverance of flight... It is basically there but a bit more exaggeration might help to emphasize it even more
