Judge 1

Positives: some good camera shots on the court well planned interview

Improvements: voiceover a little too mechanical.

Judge 2

Positives: The report showcased a student-athlete whose record-breaking performance was acknowledged by the school, the league and the media. Calvionte's hard work and drive were inspirational and made even more so by knowing he has not had a lot of support along the way. The reporter's enthusiasm toward the end of the report acknowledging that he's going to be at the game and encouraging others to attend as well.

Improvements: The lighting on the reporter at the end and throughout the video needs top be lightened considerably. The report could use even more background on the 53 points scored. How many free throws, how many 2nd half points vs. 1st half, how many 3 point shots, percentage of shots (for example, 20 for 24), previous highest scores in IHSA or school history. It's important for reporters doing voice-over narration and stand-ups at the beginning and end of reports to slow down a little and speak as clearly as possible.

Judge 3

Positives: The script was well written and informative. Good use and mix of B-roll shots.

Improvements: Audio hissing sound throughout. It improved during the reporters close The voiceover seemed a bit rushed. It sounded like he was reading off a script. A more conversation type of read would have been an improvment.
