This entry is a mashup of the most well composed shots from projects I've produced in the last year. It starts with some shots from a series I've created called "New Perspective" (containing mashups from specific places, such as Orlando and Morton Arboretum) which focus more on seeing the details in nature that most people fail to notice. There are also some sections from a music video I produced for the song "Royals" by Lorde.
Positives: Good mix of creative tight shots and wider establishing shots. I liked the use of foreground objects to add interest and composition to the wider shots.
Improvements: Try mixing in some natural sound from the video into your pieces... even nat-sound full a couple times. Nats goes a long way toward enhancing video essays.
Positives: I like the extreme closeup shots and your use of focus to change the perspective of the shot.
Improvements: While I like the use of shifting the focus, careful how you use it. You don't want it to begin to appear random/accidental.
Positives: Good use of natural light. You got some very nice shots.
Improvements: I know you did a lot of these shots hand held don't be afraid to use a tripod more in the future. Watch your rack focus shots you want your subject to come all the way into perfect focus.
