Entry Description

A two minute excerpt from a four minute video with the goal of placing the viewer in Southern California using the sights, sounds and people of that environment.

Judge 1

Positives: Composition and selection of shots show creativity. I liked nat-sound on first few shots... wish there had been more nat sound in overall piece.

Improvements: I think a couple shots were either out-of-focus or soft focus. Use of a tripod on some of the video would have been helpful. Tight shot of dog disrupted the California sequence.

Judge 2

Positives: Good work with the camera and capturing the sounds that go with the sight. Nice pace of editing.

Improvements: Saw a flash frame at 1:33. Good editing with the music, but more focus on the natural sound and less on the music would work too.

Judge 3

Positives: Great shooting. Good use of natural light and natural sound.

Improvements: Based on the pace of the music you could have had more shots in the piece. This project didn't really tell a story. Every project needs and difinitive beginning middle and end.
