This is a movie trailer for the documentary film "Summer 2013", produced and edited by Matt Albertini.
Positives: Beautiful footage, scenery and composition. Like the mix of time-lapse and slow-motion shots and video overlays. Good timing on your edits.
Improvements: The purpose of the trailer was unclear. Wasn't sure if it was a skateboarding documentary or the journey of a group of friends. Perhaps more type or a narrator could've helped convey your idea.
Positives: Beautifully shot. Great post effects to create a dream-like quality to the footage that establishes a nice tone.
Improvements: I feel that the spot needs to reveal more of a narrative of the film which it's promoting. A tighter edit without repeating the multilple skateboarding and street dancing shots will better resonate with the viewer.
Positives: I thought the lighting was really nice and there were some cool dramatic shots. Specifically at the beginning with the skateboard moving fast down the street. And the shot with the bubbles was a great composition. There was also a good range of motion. There was a nice mixture fast paced and slowed down scenes.
Improvements: I did not really like the fireworks overlay. I think it was not needed and took away from the quality of the trailer. I would take out that scene of the boy in the plaid shorts. It seemed odd and a little inappropriate.
