Entry Description

This is a feature story about the play "Charlotte's Web", featuring interviews with the director and cast, as well as behind-the-scenes footage.

Judge 1

Positives: great camera work

Improvements: lighting uneven at times

Judge 2

Positives: The piece made good use of the sound-bites that captured the enthusiasm and excitement of the director and cast for the project. Good editing to illustrate the stage blocking, rehearsals and work that go into a theatrical production.

Improvements: The audio from the interviews sounded a little hollow or echo-y and that may have been the hallway. Perhaps a smaller venue with more sound absorption would help remedy this. In case someone doesn't know the Charlotte's Web story, perhaps a sentence or two would help show what the stage crew and cast is up against when staging the production

Judge 3

Positives: Adding the music track was an excellent idea. Great opening montage sequence. Getting the perspective of both the Directors and students worked well.

Improvements: Putting the people being interviewed in a variety of different locations would have been an improvement Showing the Directors interacting with the students more would have been a nice addition to the b-roll Incorporating some close up B-roll shots of students faces would also have been a nice addition.
