Judge 1

Positives: interesting topic some good camera shots

Improvements: needed a wider variety of interviewees to share about the experience of being an intern.

Judge 2

Positives: This visually attractive piece tells an important story about a unique opportunity for a paid internship program for high school students. Interviews with program participants helps bring credibility to the program and their experiences in the adult workforce.

Improvements: Although the program sounds great, there are a lot of unanswered questions. Not sure if this video represents the entire report, so maybe I missed something, but it would be helpful to know how many openings there are, how to apply, a ballpark figure on how much the pay is and how past participants benefited or succeeded. Interviewing someone in front of lockers lets the viewer know you're at school but the shot could be a little tighter and the speaker could turn a little more toward the camera, rather than almost being shot in profile.

Judge 3

Positives: Nice establishing wide shots and b-roll. Script was well written.

Improvements: Showing the students working during their internship would have been an improvement. Especially the students that were interviewed. Many of the B-roll shots were of empty rooms. Having people in the shots would have made in more interesting to the viewer. Some editing was abrupt. Edited cut going into first interview was very abrupt. Audio levels could have been a bit more consistent.
