Entry Description

An excerpt of our Choir Concert with the middle schools.

Judge 1

Positives: The use of tight shots on the individual solos (vocal and instrumental) worked well. Audio was mixed well - the choir sounded beautiful!

Improvements: The use of longer dissolves in your transitions would have added to feeling of the music. Would have liked to have seen more variety of shots. Even though you used the tight shots of solos effectively, I would have liked to have seen some tight shots of the individual choir members throughout the performance. Good effort!

Judge 2

Positives: Lighting. Sound.

Improvements: Dissolves to quick.

Judge 3

Positives: Nice use of graphic at top to set the scene - also nice interplay between the wide shot and the musician with the large drum. Sound mix is the best I've heard yet of entries asked to judge. The color temp of all the cameras used matched.

Improvements: SLOW some of the dissolves down a bit. A pan of all the singers would have been a nice addition.
