Judge 1

Positives: beautiful camera work nice close-ups

Improvements: unsure of its relevance to high school students. did this appear in the school?

Judge 2

Positives: Interesting subject and showcase for a talented local artist. Thought the artist's distinction between a spectator and an observer was an interesting concept.

Improvements: The piece was too brief, left viewer with a lot of questions. If the artist's work appears in local Lake Forest galleries, could you have taped some B-roll of his finished works to show how something starts from a sketch and ends up a work of art as a completed oil painting. The students voices at the end could have been edited out. Not sure they added anything to the piece.

Positives: Camera work was good. Video levels were excellent. Nice selection of B-roll

Improvements: A name key would have helped the viewer identify who the subject is The subject was really never introduced to the viewer properly at the start. Knowing who he is, what he is doing and why would have helped the viewer understand more
