Entry Description

Against all odds, Deerfield High School has launched an alpine mountain climbing club- and wants you to join!

Judge 1

Positives: Like the breathing sounds during the climb and good choice of music....very creative

Improvements: Camera zooms not always motivated and a little shakey, but implies action/movement

Judge 2

Positives: The camera work was pretty solid. As was the audio mix.

Improvements: I didn't catch any humor.

Judge 3

Positives: Funny plot and nice use of camera angles to give the feeling that an actual mountain was being climbed. Also, having the main character mic'd and breathing heavily added to this.

Improvements: The sound of a car going by during the climb worked against your plot. If things like that happen during shooting, re-shoot the scene so it doesn't have a negative impact. Also, while "less is more" is typically true, more could have been done with this. Maybe showing him stopping for a break along the way and enjoying the views without giving away the ending.
