Entry Description

The Special Education program at Neuqua is unlike any other. This story is about the incredible relationships between the athletes and the buddies.

Judge 1

Positives: Great story good b-roll

Improvements: staircase is a strange place to stage interviews

Judge 2

Positives: It brought light and humanity to a story that often goes untold. Very nicely done! Your balance between the two friendships provided goo structure to the story.

Improvements: Remember to have all your assets the same aspect ratio, and do not stretch them. A couple of the stills early on did not have the same aspect ratio, and resulted in being "smashed" on import. This should be avoided at all costs. Many of the shots could've benefited from a bit of lighting, which would have helped separate the subjects from their background.

Judge 3

Positives: Great shot compostions and camera technique. Great use of score to enhance the tone and pace of the piece.

Improvements: Perhaps more b-roll of the activities that the subjects shared in common.
