Judge 1

Positives: unusual topic well-done script

Improvements: camera angle during teacher interviews could be tightened up with less ceiling as part of shots

Judge 2

Positives: Serious, important report about the importance of computer programming to the job market of today and tomorrow and its applicability to all kinds of job skills. Good use of sound-bites to make the case for taking programming classes in high school, including the statistical information about the job market of 2020.

Improvements: The very last words of the piece seem to have been cut off without the student reporter's name so it would be helpful to have the entire audio to close out the piece. Perhaps some of the specifics learned or applications created through these classes would help bring their practicality into focus for the piece.

Judge 3

Positives: The segment was informative and the pacing was perfect. Hearing the audio from the interviews before seeing the person speaking was excellent. The voiceover was delivered well and was easy to understand.

Improvements: Hearing from more than one student would have been an improvement Having the student hold the mic was a bit awkward More close up shots of students faces would have been a nice addition to the selection of B-roll shots
