Judge 1

Positives: good photography well-written script interesting editing with flags

Improvements: sound quality was uneven

Judge 2

Positives: Serious, complex and important issues to tackle in this piece. I applaud the ambition it took to take this on. The geopolitics of a global region in the middle of volatile social change is not an easy piece to produce and flags animating on the screen visualized well how far-reaching the trend is and how complicated the issues are.

Improvements: Two minutes lends itself to oversimplification of a truly global phenomenon, but it might also help to show the map of the region to see the proximity of these countries, not just their flags -- although that was a great visual effect. When drawing very broad conclusions it might help to have attribution of comments -- according to the United Nations or according to a survey of Tunisian citizens, etc. Are the student reporters drawing the conclusions made in the piece? The reporters delivery in the beginning of the report was very fast so slowing down to a more conversational pace would help.

Judge 3

Positives: Good use of graphics, photos and sound effects. Very well written. Very informative.

Improvements: Talent delivery was a little rushed.
