- 4/24 12:35 pm - Really nice camerawork and direction here. Your wide is well-composed and smooth. The cutaways are also well-composed and nicely timed. The audio is mixed well. I like the score bug graphic and the replay transition graphic is awesome! The play-by-play and color are nicely balanced. Maybe could use just a little more energy in big moments like the deep three. Overall, this is a really great broadcast. You guys are doing great things! Keep it going!
Judge 1
Positives: Great game action following the ball and transition shots to the "hero" player on a game point. Replay came in at the right time, always want to wait for a delay in game so you don't miss any game action from a replay. Talent was very knowledgeable and knew the player names and stats.
Improvements: Great work at not cutting around too much during gameplay, however, the game wide-shot cam was a little jerky in movements. I would suggest having the camera framed with the baskets and backboards in frame at all times so they don't have to tilt up every point attempt.
Judge 2
Positives: - Good job by the announcers on describing the action - Liked the inclusion of a replay during the deadball to give another look at a key basket
Improvements: - The game camera should tilt up more. We were seeing too much empty space at the bottom of the court, and then the camera would tilt way up when a shot went in the air. Minimize the amount of tilt by keeping your framing higher to begin with - we should see the top of the backboard as a guide.
Judge 3
Positives: Announcers were exciting. They knew the players names. Game camera needs to push in when the actions moves towaards thee basket.
Improvements: Good job of sneaking the replays in during a break in the action. The director really had a choice of three replays to use during a break, was it the most exciting one to chose? I would have chosen the one at :29 The benches and the crowd were animated, but we didn't see that.
