This is an excerpt from a live concert that we produced as a collaboration between WLTL and LTTV. The concert series is called "Live from the Lounge", and this band is Six Foot Blonde. We did all of the sound for the band, all of the lighting for the lounge, and all of the camera work and live multicam directing.
Positives: Audio was well mixed you can hear every instrument and vocals and nothing was clashing or over/under modulated. Lots of good close ups of instruments and faces. Good use of cutting to the beat and getting all angles of the performance and nice cross-dissolve at the end.
Improvements: The fast cutting worked well with the up-beat music, but at times the cuts were happening a little too fast and could get disorienting to the viewer.
Positives: Excellent audio mix Good images capturing the room. Camera work was good and varied.
Improvements: Opening composition was off center. Missed cutting to solo instruments in time.
Positives: This was really close to being a clear award winner. The mix of handheld and tripod cameras was great - really good closeups, great audio mix. Nice job. Keep practicing - you're really close.
Improvements: The shot selections were changing without any clear following of the action, rather just moving from camera to camera. Needed better directing flow to follow the song. If you're beginning on a steady locked down camera to establish the room, you need a reason to move to the handheld, less steady, camera. A zoom into the action to then allow for more of a raw experience on the keyboard, and then back out.
