Waubonsie Valley Football Broadcast vs. DeKalb on October 18, 2024
Positives: Talent were very informative and knowledgeable about each play and teams. The timing to go to a replay during a delay in game play was great timing and also cutting to the player sitting on the bench to fill time is all great directing.
Improvements: The wide-shot game camera during one of the plays did not pan over to see the player with the ball, if it can zoom out even more this will help with following game action. The audio was a little bare with only the talent mics. By adding an additional mic pointed to the field will pick up some natural sounds to help enhance the soundscape experience for the viewer watching.
Positives: - Loved the camera on the bench to give us the hero shot of the player who had the interception. Nice add! - The announcers did a really good job of both describing the plays but also conveying the excitement of big moments.
Improvements: - Cameras should make sure they keep players in frame (like the QB on the interception) and then also not lose their focus and begin drifting while they are still live. There were a few examples of that.
Positives: Just barely saw the interception (QB was almost out of frame). Replay was beautiful. Good play-by-play announcer as well as the color annoubncer. Worked well together.
Improvements: Needed to mic crowd noise. Almost non existent. Main camera needed to push in as the play develops. Too wide most of the time during the play.
