Sports video featuring Glenbrook South's boys soccer team.
Positives: I liked the font titles in sync with the words to start the song. Good use of different angles of video (in-goal cam was a nice touch),
Improvements: Not the best music choice to get people inspired/fired-up. While the picture in picture editing overall was a good idea, it was overdone and the boxes too small. It was hard to follow what you were looking at.
Positives: Showed players, soccer ball, goal posts, and the pitch. Angles were plentiful and kept it visually interesting. I did not get bored with the shots, just wanted more faces.
Improvements: Make sure graphics are readable. The opening UNLIKE graphic was difficult to see. The drop shadow helped a little but it needed more of an outline or a different color to stand out. Music and atmosphere were very relaxed and playful but some edits were fast which impacted the story. Are we promoting casual joining the team or the atmosphere of a specific game? Use more ambient noise to transport the viewer.
Positives: - Lots of highlights packed in to a short amount of time - can be tough sometimes with a big team to get everyone in, and while I can't say for sure I'd imagine you either accomplished that or came close to doing so. - Camera work was strong throughout the highlights.
Improvements: - The song choice didn't work for me. It was a little slow and didn't really bring the energy that one expects from a sports highlight video. - Be careful about using the same editing effects too frequently - in this case bringing in multiple shots in boxes over and over again started to distract a bit and I wasn't always sure what highlight to really be focused on.
