RBTV student finds dead classmate, escapes, but is killed in the end.
Positives: The use of "blood" written on paper as an indicator of actual blood was a fun touch! I laughed both times at that gag. Really cool, scary lighting that influenced the horror vibe very nicely!
Improvements: The plot was very straightforward, and could've used some character development to invest the audience in your late lead. RIP. Perhaps a short scene at the onset that shows the character in his element would suffice. This looked like it was a lot of fun to make! Keep it up!
Positives: The killer was legitimately terrifying. The mask, the walk, the weapon. All very effective. The camera work was fantastic. The follow focus shot on the closeup of his shoes and cane really stood out. Lighting was intentional and served the story. Slow motion was used successfully...
Improvements: but... the slow motion was also used too much. The Slo mo sequence started dragging soon after it started because it went on too long without resolving. The blood/paper gag was used too much. Would have been funnier if we saw it less. But overall, I really enjoyed it!
Positives: i loved the fun you had with the cinematography! the lighting choices and camera movements worked really well.
Improvements: i wish the lighting stayed consistently moody and dark! i think the cuts from the colored lighting to flourescent lights was a little jarring and took me out of the story. i wish there was a little more length and depth to this
Positives: What worked so well in this film is the sound design you crafted around the visuals. Keeping it short and sweat to 2 1/2 minutes was the right move, many submissions were coming in right a 5 minutes which I feel is hard to sustain an engaging comedic story. Great use of lighting! Shooting inside of a school can be incredibly boring, white walls add little interest to the frame. But the use of colored lighting helped subtract this negative of the location.
Improvements: Focus would be a point to improve on and make sure to be careful with exposure with colors. In-expensive cameras can tend to overexpose easily with very vivid colors.
