  • 4/24 10:20 pm - Really solid work here! The editing and pacing are strong, and the way the trailer is cut really supports the premise, it flows well and keeps the viewer engaged throughout. One thing that stood out, though, was the shift in the color theme. The early parts of the trailer have a consistent visual tone where you can tell color is re-entering his life, but later footage seems noticeably different in look and feel because it shifts to completely in color but then back to less color? That may be due to pulling clips from different parts of the movie, but the change is a bit distracting for the trailer theme.
  • 4/24 7:09 pm - This was a fun one to watch and see what the vision was, and it did not disappoint! Your use of color worked beautifully with the voice over and the music. It gave elements of the story without giving too much, and letting the viewer watch the full length for how it all plays out. Your shots were composed well. The music fit well with the pacing and story. The only part that felt a little different from the rest was the sped up part in the room, especially as it all seemed in color (though not as saturated), and a reason didn't feel evident. Overall, this was a solid trailer for what looks like a beautiful film.

Positives: Great job! This is a pleasant, uplifting trailer, and the central black & white aesthetic with "color isolation" works really well. The piece also features thoughtful title design choices throughout that expand the "pops of color" which set the tone. Nice music needle drop!

Improvements: The narrative feels slightly "vague" and could be expanded upon, just a bit (without disturbing the "teaser-esque" tone). The color isolation at 00:07 seconds could be improved. Excellent job on your entry this year – there was clearly a lot of skill and talent put into this piece.

Positives: The use of color is interesting as it serves the story. Well shot and edited.

Improvements: Would like to see and hear how this girl affects the lead character. At 40 seconds, you still have enough time to portray the femle character as an important part of the story.

Positives: This was so cool to watch—editing and coloring were spot on! It all felt super cohesive, nothing was overdone, and the vibe stayed consistent from start to finish. The lighting, sound, and effects worked together really well, too. You can tell a lot of thought went into the details, and it made the whole thing feel legit.

Improvements: If anything, I just wanted a little more info on the story—what’s going on, who’s involved, that kind of thing. A few more wide shots could also help set the scene and give us a better sense of the location or world you’re building. But overall, this was really well done
