  • 4/25 8:05 pm - You had a clever intro that pulls the viewer in. The steps were clear and easy to follow and the storytelling aspect of it also helps keep the viewer engaged. In one of the shots where you're sitting on the floor it looks a little off because you're leaning forward a smidge, this may be done on purpose or it may be because you set it up and bent down to keep good head room. The text looks great, lighting is beautiful, and it all flowed very well.
  • 4/1 1:03 pm - I really enjoyed this video! It was a mixture of so many things - humor, clear instructions, video from different angles, great graphics, etc. The multiple angles (and sometimes on the screen at the same time) helped to make it easy to follow and see what you were doing. The graphics on the screen were in a font that was very fitting for this video. Loved the humor in it! The lighting was great, framing of the shots was great…overall just very well done!!

Positives: The demonstration has a sense of humor and sets a fun tone with the hook at the beginning. The project follows through on the promise to demonstrate basic tap steps. The effects included in the sound design add another layer that supports the story within the demonstration. The sounds of the tap shoes are well mixed and the bug sound effects add to the sense of humor.

Improvements: The audio mixing could use another pass - the music at the start of the video is super loud - when yelling, audio peaks, and the transition back to voiceover at 1:46 needs a frame or two before the cut - it cuts off the start of the first word of the sentence. Watch some of the plosives in words like "period". The identical backdrop for each angle is disorienting at times. Variety in some shot sizes would have allowed for cuts that aren't jump cuts between the different angles or steps every single step.

Positives: I really like the start and the talking to yourself. The whole tempo of the video is set in the first 10 seconds and it is a great start. Good job with the sound especially with all of the tap. There was one audio change at the start but then it got fixed. Strong narration! Your excitement makes the viewer excited to watch it. The back-and-forth edits are well done and add to the fun of the video.

Improvements: Some spots of audio are not equal and they can distract a little bit. Try to watch that. There are some shadows in the video, but they are not overly distracting.
