Positives: Social media Success: The format and style of this video are highly suitable for platforms like TikTok and other social media outlets, where content that showcases filmmaking skills tends to engage a wide audience. If you haven't already explored this avenue, it's highly recommended to share your work on these platforms to reach a broader and appreciative audience as this is the format widely accepted. Diverse Shot Selection: The variety of shots included in the video, ranging from landscapes to close-ups, adds a rich texture and depth to the viewing experience. This diversity not only keeps the audience engaged but also gives a well-rounded feel to the video, making it appear more polished. The ability to incorporate a wide range of visuals effectively speaks to your versatility and creativity as a filmmaker. (Shot at 1:18 is incredible)

Improvements: Story Development: While the video excels visually, it falls short in terms of narrative depth. The lack of a clear story or plot makes it challenging for viewers to connect with the video beyond its aesthetic qualities. Developing a more defined storyline could enhance the video's impact by adding emotional weight and context to the visuals, making it not just a treat for the eyes but also a memorable journey for the viewer. Audio Timing: Incorporating the song and sound effects a bit earlier in the video, possibly in a muffled tone to maintain the dramatic effect, could elevate the opening moments. This adjustment would help in setting the tone right from the start, creating an immediate connection with the audience and building anticipation for what's to come.

Positives: This is ridiculously well shot. Pro-level. Beautiful compositions, beautiful use of depth of field, beautiful color/color correction. I especially loved the Lost in Translationy last shot. The fact that this was shot on an iphone is just silly. The cinematographer for this piece has a bright future as a pro.

Improvements: I'm not sure this is a music video. It's more a travelogue, and as such, I don't get much story or concept besides pretty (ok, gorgeous) pictures. An actual music performance might have helped (which might have meant a different song--as it stands the song is pretty non-descript).

Positives: Is this found footage or did one of the filmmakers shoot this footage? Some of the shots are exquisite. The video feels consistent in terms of look.

Improvements: The editing rhythm needs to be more consistent. Some of the edits don't make sense in terms of storytelling. How can this "travel montage" tell more of the protagonist's journey?
