A 9 camera shoot of an act from Glenbrook North's Variety Show, Chromatic. Production involved a week of rehearsals and run-throughs.
Positives: WOW! Very good work on this one. I really like the cutting of cameras on the beat of the music. That helped keep the viewer engaged and see every angle of the performance. The audio was spot on for this, you can clearly hear the music along with the the tapping of the shoes very clearly from each member. That can sometimes be missed especially for a variety show with other acts being performed.
Improvements: Not much is needed for improvement here. The one nitpick comment I can provide is some of the cameras stayed static and so the performers would come out of frame and have headroom and leading/facing issues which could be fixed by just reframing or panning with the performers as they move across the stage, but this could just be due to a lack of operators for 9 cameras (wow!) which is understandable.
Positives: Good use of all of the cameras. Great mixture of shots. Audio was good. Captured tapping really well. Cuts were on the beat.
Improvements: Could use a couple of more close ups of faces.
Positives: Some really good, sharp, focused shots in this entry. Really good job following the action.
Improvements: The sound from the music track was competing with the tapping of the shoes. This is bound to happen with a live performance, but I'm not sure you wanted the music to drown out the tapping, which is what ended up happening.
