  • 4/25 8:38 am - The story is dynamic, personal, ambitious, intelligible, and compelling. There are consistent issues with audio (need j and l cuts & watch out for clothing rustle) and focus (not sure if manual or auto was on, but many of the shots were completely out of focus. Also, when composing shots involving dialogue between two characters, you typically want to leave space in front of where you're character is looking, otherwise, it suggests someone or something is coming from behind. Despite these issues, you told a powerful story – focus more on the craft of filmmaking and your storytelling ability will be able to fully shine.
  • 3/24 2:23 pm - Great way to start your video and grab my attention! The jumps between the interactions between the multiple characters having the similar conversation was well done. I think you need some more attention to the audio as there was some crackling in some of the dialogue. Also, be careful with camera placement so you don’t have it visible in any shots. I can see it in the background on the sliding glass door! Pay close attention to having your audio levels the same between characters as well. Very powerful message being told here though, nicely done.
  • 2/22 1:36 pm - Your film is a very ambitious idea and it would have worked if you paid attention to the technical aspects of your production. Your sound in particular. Your recording levels are uneven and no amount of cutting or post will fix that. Some of your footage is out of focus. Use a tripod or another form of stabilization. Pay attention to composition. Editing could have been a lot more creative especially since you are toying with the idea of multiple voices and not all of them are talking to the main character necessarily. Again, really great idea, but flawed execution.
