- 3/4 9:07 am - I loved every part of this, very well done! I thought it was cinematic, the camera work certainly contributed to that "feel". Addtionally, looks like you've done some color grading for that "old west" feel. Editing is great, everything flowed to a logical conclusion and my guess is that this ad was well received by the students and promoting this homecoming day. Again, very well done, easily my favorite submission in this category!

Improvements: even more comedic elements could have been developed with the western theme.... more use of close ups of mustached guy at table
Judge 2
Positives: This one is a lot of fun. The opening scene is strong, the western video style commits to the concept, and bringing in the principal as the head sheriff is exactly the kind of idea that makes a homecoming promo memorable. The mascot angle is creative and the overall production has a clear vision from the start.
Improvements: The video is so close to being really polished. If the closing shot had been a western-style flyer with the spirit day info baked in, this would have stuck the landing perfectly. The second scene with the actor and mustache is where the momentum dips a little. It breaks from the energy the opening built and feels slightly out of place compared to the stronger moments around it. Tighten that transition and this is a top-tier entry.

Positives: Cool concept. Imaginative. Got the message. It was fun!
Improvements: Some of the shots were really dark. The black and white was the right choice for this, but the lighting must be more difficult to control in this format? Maybe the shadows were intentional, but I think it could have used a little more creativity.
