  • 2/24 10:00 am - I really appreciated how you treated the subject matter of this song with your visuals. I like that although some shots were lip-synched, the lip-synching didn't go on for too long and you incorporated a variety of shots. I would definitely push for you to look for some shifts in tempo between the song and some of the shots. The beat of this song is more frantic and stuttered, but some of the cooking shots (while interesting) do drag on a bit in comparison. Love your use of lighting in general, though. Nice idea and love the amount of passion you have!
  • 2/21 12:52 pm - This music video grabs attention right from the start with impressive camera movements and extreme close-ups within the first 30 seconds. The pacing of the shots throughout the video is well-executed, maintaining a dynamic and engaging visual rhythm. While the lip-syncing is generally effective, there are instances where it appears slightly off, and the actor occasionally seems uninterested or disconnected. However, this could potentially be intentional, adding layers of complexity to the performance. One aspect that could be clarified is whether there is a cohesive narrative thread running throughout the video or if it consists primarily of a variety of scenes strung together. Additionally, the kitchen scenes seem to deviate from the tempo and lyrics of the song, creating a sense of disconnection from the overall thematic flow. Despite these observations, the music video showcases strong technical proficiency and visual creativity. With some adjustments to ensure consistency in performance and thematic coherence, it has the potential to become an even more impactful and cohesive piece of visual storytelling.
