Multi-camera Football Broadcast
Positives: Great job cutting around during delay of game play to the sideline and keeping the viewer engaged. Talent did a good job not talking over each other and sounding professional. Score strip in the lower third looks really professional and replay in-outs looked really good.
Improvements: There seems to be focus issues a couple of the camera angles. The talent mics sounded good but it was primarily all we heard, adding just an additional mic pointed at the field can help add natural sounds to the mix to enhance the listening component for the viewer.
Positives: - Good camera work throughout. Great job by all of the non-primary cameras to have good cutaways available (sideline, players running out, huddle, etc.) and great pace by the director to cut through them, keeping things visually interesting but always prioritizing the live play. - After the touchdown I thought it was really smart to stay on live shots of the celebration instead of immediately going to replay. The replay will always be there, and you know you're going to have some time before live action starts again, so good job by the director of taking advantage!
Improvements: - This can be a bit of a personal preference, but I would like to hear the announcers be less "homers" and call things a little more neutral. Using the word "we" to describe one team and openly rooting for them on the air begins to sound a little unprofessional. Remember that a good chunk of your audience is likely to be fans of the visiting school who weren't able to make the game, so think about how you would want to hear the game called if you were in that situation.
Positives: The announcers are good. Good shots off of the action. Announcers are adding good information.
Improvements: The wide camera needs to zoom in closer as the action moves.
