  • 4/26 9:32 am - As a hype video I like this piece, but as a commercial it is missing some elements. You ask the viewer to join the action, but how? Throw in some contact information, meeting dates, etc. Some of the gameplay footage is dark and a lot of it is shaky, but I like that you include actual gameplay footage.
  • 3/3 2:22 pm - Thank you for sharing your commercial project with me. After reviewing your work, it's clear that you've managed to capture a high level of energy and enthusiasm, reminiscent of a hype video designed to promote sports programs. This approach is effective in rallying excitement and showcasing the spirit of the team, which is a commendable achievement. However, it appears that the commercial may not fully align with the traditional objectives of advertising, which typically focuses on selling a product or promoting a specific program. The essence of an effective advertisement lies in its ability to communicate the value proposition of what's being offered, compelling the audience to take action, whether that's making a purchase, signing up for a program, or engaging with a brand in some way. To enhance the commercial's effectiveness as an advertisement, consider the following suggestions: Clear Call to Action (CTA): Ensure that your commercial includes a clear and compelling call to action. This could be an invitation to join the program, purchase tickets for games, or support the team in some specific way. The CTA should be unmistakable and positioned in a way that it's easy for the audience to understand what steps they should take next. Highlight Unique Selling Points: Focus on what makes the program or product unique. Instead of relying predominantly on stock footage, consider incorporating interviews with players, coaches, or testimonials from participants that can speak to the benefits and experiences offered by the program. This personal touch can make the advertisement more relatable and persuasive. Diversify Your Footage: While stock footage can be useful, relying on it too heavily may detract from the authenticity of your message. Aim to include more original content that directly relates to the product or program you're promoting. This could involve shooting additional scenes that highlight the product in use or showcasing aspects of the program that set it apart from others. Focus on the Product/Program: Ensure that the product or program is the central theme of your commercial. While capturing the spirit and energy of the sports season is important, the main focus should always return to what you're advertising. Use visual and narrative elements to tie back to the product or program, making it clear to the audience what the commercial is truly about. Engage Your Audience: Consider what aspects of the product or program are most likely to resonate with your target audience. Tailor your message to address their interests, needs, or challenges, making the advertisement more engaging and relevant to those you wish to reach. By incorporating these elements into your commercial, you can create a more balanced and effective advertisement that not only generates excitement but also clearly communicates the value of what you're offering, encouraging your audience to take action.
