  • 4/25 2:35 pm - Great pacing and editing throughout the video! I enjoyed the mixing in of natural audio during one of the plays and the b-roll(0:44-0:52)of something other than the game. You have a lot of good framing and camera work here. Great hype video!
  • 4/23 2:43 pm - STORY: Your video does a great job promoting the football program. You include a lot of winning plays as well as closeups that bring life to your video and make it exciting! SOUND: I appreciate your use of sound throughout your video. I enjoy hearing the crowd cheering and the whistle blowing at 0:41! Great job including this in the final moment as the player catches the ball at 1:29 too! CAMERA: You include a lot of camera angles and shots, along with a variety of close ups! Those close ups really help the audience form a connection with the people we see on screen. I specifically thought your close ups at 0:06, 0:26, 0:52 and 1:02 were great! Some of your shots are shaky but I think you used a stabilizer on some. This works on some of your clips but you can definitely tell there is some weird movement going on like at 0:01 on the right side of the frame, as well as at 0:16 and 0:36. Be careful with your autofocus during shots like you have at 1:03. It looks like your camera was having trouble deciding on what to focus on. Unless you were going for a really nice rack focus (which I would still recommend doing in manual focus) I would put the camera in manual focus for a shot like this so that you know the player’s face will always be in focus. LIGHTING: You do a great job using the light in the settings that you filmed. Especially on the football fields. A lot of times that light can be super harsh and can overexpose your shots but you accounted for it! Something to watch for is your white balance. And this is just that it also got darker as you filmed your clips. At 0:20 to 0:30, your white balance is a lot more blue than the rest of the video. From 0:31 on, white balance is more yellow. EDITING: Overall you have great pacing throughout your video! A lot of your sequences flowed well together and pushed your story further. Great transition at 0:49! Very clever way to move onto your next shot!
