  • 4/23 9:28 am - A nice casual feel on set. We get to see some of the production elements, mics, switcher, etc, Looks like you've added some colored light to this as well, that helps make the space look like a set. I thought the pace was a little choppy at times, some breaks in the conversation that were distracting to me. I think cutting shots is appropriate instead of the quick dissolves, but perhaps director was trying to match the vibe and overall pace of the conversation.
Judge 1

Positives: Cool lighting and set, fit the casual and conversational vibes! Good variety of camera shots that kept the conversation engaging.

Improvements: Keep working on confidence! Rehearsals can go a long way in feeling more comfortable being on camera, ideally you don't want the audience to feel your discomfort. Think about mic placement and balancing audio of each speaker, some were quieter than others.

Judge 2

Positives: Love the graphic and music for the open. That's important to set the tone. Good job on the directing work cutting between shots.

Improvements: Limit the number of wide shots since so much is going on. Be sure guests are speaking directly into the mic. If they mumble, it can be hard to hear. Otherwise, the audio is clear. Lighting works as well. As hosts, be prepared to jump in when a guest is nervous and doesn't speak much.

Judge 3

Positives: Host really trying. She understands she has to keep things on track. Brava! I like the concept that this is in a relaxed setting where friends are chatting about topics. relatable to their audience.

Improvements: Talent should not be shy doing this. Worse thing to do is inappropriate laughs. Panel should be better prepared.
