  • 3/4 8:57 pm - I really enjoyed this video. I enjoyed the effects, the sound effects and the way it was edited. I agree with the other teacher - I didn't know who the team was and it was a really well done video. Definitely push your team's school name. I was searching the field to figure out who it was (It says BHS vs Palatine) but I wasn't sure who BHS was.
  • 3/4 10:51 am - Nicely edited, great post-production effects and good use of music. I like that the score is given at the end to show your team won...but what team is this for? I saw the TV station logo and maybe your personal logo, but unless someone knew what school this was it isn't clear. If the goal of a promotional video is to promote, be unapologetic about doing it. Use a great video like this to drive people to either your pages and our the games themselves!
Judge 1

Positives: Some very nice editing effects - the sequence where all the B's in the helmets morphed together was a very clever edit. A good mix of action sequences some close up and some further away.

Improvements: Until the score came in I didn't know if I was watching a recap of a game already played or a promo for an upcoming game. There was no date or location or anything given. The logo/shield "behind" the flagpole was never truly revealed in full.

Judge 2

Positives: Great use of sound effects. Pacing of edits helped build energy.

Improvements: Graphics need improvement to help tell the story. I had to review the video to understand the matchup since it was covered by the flag. The video was packed with effects. The first half was nice but the second half felt like effects were added just to have them instead of helping move the story forward.

Judge 3

Positives: - Really liked the effects used in the edit, especially where you had essentially cut out a player and used him as the transition into the next clip - thought that was very creative. - Sound was well mixed and appropriate level throughout.

Improvements: - For a Homecoming recap, I expected to see a little bit of off-the-field excitement as well - ideally some fans or something else to give this a bit of energy beyond just game highlights.
