4/25 7:34 pm - STORY: This is a great story! Very much gives off that happy feeling which I think is what you intended to do!
SOUND: Overall your audio levels are at a great level. I feel like I can hear that the audio peaked at 0:04 and then it was probably brought down in post. Also at 0:04, the audio transition is rough here. You can definitely “hear” the cut that is made. You want to try and avoid that by using J and L cuts. This is where you layer your audio track on different tracks. You then extend the beginning and ends of each track so that they blend into each other. Sometimes these J and L cuts may not work depending on when your audio starts and ends. This technique does help blend and hide those cuts!
CAMERA: Really great job incorporating different shots and angles! The variety really helps with the happy feeling that your video gives off!
LIGHTING: I think your lighting looks great in this video! Nice job also of filming in the afternoon. That most likely helped make your lighting even better!
EDITING: Great pacing overall! I think a lot of your cuts work on the beat. Some are just a tiny bit off the beat like at 0:23. I would go back to your edit and clean that up! I would also love to hear some other interviews since we get that first sound bite at the beginning. It could also be a voice over and we wouldn’t have to see that person!
4/25 1:43 pm - You did a great job recapping the pumpkin painting event! You took us through the painting, finished product and delivery of the pumpkins well. I only wish there was an interview or other audio during the painting process to explain a little more about the event and its benefit.
