  • 4/29 2:52 pm - ommercial Feedback – Charger Advertisement Story (Needs Growth) Your commercial demonstrates a clear visual direction, but it currently lacks a developed narrative or central message. While the footage is engaging, the piece feels more like a sequence of visually similar shots rather than a cohesive commercial with a beginning, middle, and end. Strong commercials typically introduce a problem, highlight a product’s value, and leave the audience with a memorable takeaway. Consider building a simple narrative—perhaps focusing on the lifestyle, emotion, or need that this charger fulfills—to give your visuals purpose and direction. Camera (Strong) The use of drone footage and stabilized tracking shots alongside the car is visually compelling and shows a strong understanding of cinematic movement. These choices elevate the production value significantly. The framing and composition are consistent and polished. One important note: shots captured alongside a moving vehicle in public spaces can be dangerous. In professional environments, these types of shots are done under controlled conditions with road closures. Please prioritize safety in future productions. Sound (Good) The upbeat music selection works well and complements the pacing and tone of the visuals. It helps create energy and keeps the viewer engaged. Moving forward, consider how sound design—such as subtle ambient audio or sound effects—could further enhance realism and immersion. Lighting (Strong) Exposure is handled very well throughout the commercial, especially in challenging lighting conditions such as transitions through shaded areas in an urban environment. This demonstrates a solid understanding of camera settings and environmental control. Editing (Average to Good) The editing is clean and technically sound, with smooth transitions and consistent pacing. However, the lack of shot variety limits the overall impact. With approximately 20 shots that feel visually similar, the edit begins to feel repetitive. Consider incorporating a wider range of shot types (close-ups, detail shots, interior perspectives, reaction shots) to create visual contrast and maintain viewer interest. Additionally, editing choices should reinforce the story—once a narrative is established, your pacing and shot selection can better support it. ⸻ Overall Feedback You have a strong technical foundation—your camera work, lighting, and overall visual quality are impressive. The next step is to move beyond simply capturing good-looking footage and focus on storytelling and intentional variety. A successful commercial is not just visually appealing; it communicates a clear message and connects with the audience. By developing a narrative and diversifying your shots, this piece could become significantly more impactful and professional.
  • 3/5 8:43 am - Great shots of the charger! I will say they got repetitive, so try and mix in some more variety, maybe some night shots showing off those red and green running lights. Maybe some mixture of slow motion could change some things a bit as well. Another option is to cut the total time down so we don’t get so much repetition.
  • 2/26 2:19 pm - Really high-quality camera work. Wonder how you got some of those shots. The only big thing I'd suggest is a wider variety of shots, especially as it felt like it was on a loop a bit with having the car speed up past and then have another shot of it speeding up again. Otherwise I liked how the music helped showcase the car and its speed.
