  • 2/24 9:50 am - Right from the start, I already want to commend you for the pacing and quickly-edited shots. You really did a great job of making the audience feel like they were ALSO going insane with your editing/lighting/flickering/etc. The head turns and camera pans to the same direction are a subtle, yet creative approach that I think are really strong. I would add maybe a little more depth to this video by maybe even extending it a bit and giving the story a bit more of an arc, but overall this is a strong entry and really love the way you interpreted the song through visuals. Great work!
  • 2/21 12:46 pm - This music video impresses with its strong pacing, diverse array of clips, and effective utilization of lighting and color to enhance the visual storytelling. The actress delivers a compelling performance in lip-syncing, adding authenticity and resonance to the narrative. While the video is undoubtedly effective in its current form, there's an opportunity to elevate the viewing experience further by incorporating more camera movement. Introducing dynamic camera shots and angles could inject additional energy and dynamism into the video, keeping viewers engaged and immersed throughout. Overall, this music video is a testament to the creators' skill and creativity, showcasing a well-rounded approach to visual storytelling. With the potential addition of more camera movement, it has the opportunity to reach even greater heights of engagement and impact.

Positives: Camera Angles: Despite the overall need for greater diversity in camera work, certain angles, such as the upside-down shot, are highlighted for their creativity. Using more of these inventive angles could enhance the video's engagement and aesthetic appeal. Creative Title: The title's creativity, especially its use of the subject as an obstacle that changes colors in the background, is nice. This approach adds a layer of visual interest.

Improvements: Story Element: Enhancing the story element within the video could significantly increase viewer engagement and emotional connection. Developing a more coherent and compelling narrative would add depth and context to the visual elements, making the video more memorable and impactful. Camera Angle Diversity: The video tends to rely on similar camera angles, which may limit it. Introducing a wider variety of camera angles and movements could add visual interest and a more engaging perspective for the viewers, making each scene feel fresh.

Positives: Good camera work and shot variety. Well-edited.

Improvements: Not really sure whether the story matches the video, it's kind of unclear to me what the performer is doing in these various locations. It's also a little short. If you use colored/gelled lights in the future, try anchoring your lighting with a little white in the frame. Also, if you make more music videos in the future, have your performer actually sing along with the song, not just move their lips. That way we see breathing, possibly straining in the neck.

Judge 3

Positives: The video moves well in terms of editing, There are some effective pops os saturated color.

Improvements: The lip sync is not convincing. We need to believe that the character is singing and the performance needs to be more committed of the audience to believe that it is not just a lip sync. Most of the shots are closeups and after a while, the lack of contrast results in a flat video. All the shots feel the same. Needs contact and variety.
