  • 4/23 8:19 am - This show features a solid lineup of story ideas with good potential for engaging content. The lighting is well done across the board—subjects are clear and well-lit, creating a professional look that helps elevate the overall production quality. Camera composition is hit-or-miss. Some shots are nicely framed, but a few have too much headroom or feel too wide. A tighter crop would create more visual impact and draw viewers more into the scene. Paying close attention to framing in both static and interview shots can make a big difference in polish. Erin brings a warm, approachable presence to the screen—she’s confident and easy to watch. A reminder to take a breath, relax, and have fun can go a long way toward boosting comfort and performance. One note for all on-camera talent: if you’re sitting in chairs, make sure they’re locked or stable—any noticeable swaying can distract from the message. Also, try to avoid keeping hands in pockets while on camera; open body language comes across more professional and engaged. Audio is another area to watch. Some microphones didn’t seem to be working properly, or their levels were mismatched between speakers. Ensuring consistent mic placement and volume levels across the board will really help maintain immersion and clarity for your audience. Patrick stood out with a confident delivery and clear understanding of his topic—great job! Just make sure to give your graphics one final proofread before publishing; small errors like “Fridays’s” can distract from an otherwise strong package. There’s a lot of talent on this team. With some refinements in technical execution and performance comfort, you’re well on your way to producing standout work.
  • 3/3 7:18 am - Nice story ideas. Lighting is good. Some of the camera composition is good, but some shots have too much headroom or should be zoomed in more for a tighter shot. Erin has a nice persona on camera. Cadin(?) seems nervous. Take a deep breath and have some fun with this! You may also want to lock the chairs so they cannot sway back and forth. Reporters should not have their hands in their pockets. Some mics did not seem to be working correctly or levels were not consistent with the other one on camera. Patrick has a good personality and seemed to know his topic. Have someone double check spelling on graphics (Fridays’s).
