A step by step video teaching beginners how to make the #10 at Subway. Training video made for new sandwich artists or experienced employees who may need a refresher.
Positives: The piece is well structured and easy to follow. Using graphics adds to what is being said, both in following the theme of the title card and in moments like showing what a 45 degree angle looks like. The point of view shot makes it easy to follow and picture how to make the sandwich. Overall, the exposure of each shot shows technical mastery.
Improvements: Be careful with audio levels, while it was consistent throughout the piece, the loud voice over track and music is startling at first. Greater shot variety would further enhance the piece. Much of the piece is one shot, instead of speeding up the shot, it would help the pacing to have another shot or two to cut to. Times when this variety is used, like at 1:21 adds visual interest and allows the edit to control the pacing.
Positives: -The graphics and music were very impactful. -Way to speed up the video. -Nice use of bubble graphic.
Improvements: -The narration was good, but the voice track sounded a little hollow, while the rest of the audio was perfect.
Positives: Great intro and outro slides. The 45 degree angle was a nice touch. Good narration and text overlays.
Improvements: How about a menu shot for context, especially since you're setting up a part 2? Music competes with the gift of your voice. Make sure it's solidly in the background. We need some creativity with assembling the sandwich. We have 53 seconds of the same POV shot.
