  • 4/24 12:30 pm - Really great energy on the call. It is clear you know the game and players on both sides well. This helps drive the narrative. The sound is mixed nicely. There is a little mic noise, but it is not too distracting. Nice graphics and replay. Solid camera work and follow on replay cam. Sideline cam at :10 is a little shaky. Overall, this is really well done! Nice job!
  • 4/23 8:28 am - The wide angle is VERY wide. Come in a little closer. No need to gather all 22 players in the wide shot. Envision someone watching this on a small phone screen. Great use of replay and transition graphic. Good job by the ISO/Replay camera following the action. Play-by-play and color commentary was very effective. Good energy. When cutting to sideline handheld, have a reason for the cut. Use it more as a "hero" cam instead of a wide shot or just another angle.

Positives: Director cuts of cams following the action before the ball is snapped going to handheld cam is nice to break up the lag in action. Cutting between the wide-shot then to the tight shot, of the player who catches the ball run back to the team is great way of highlighting the "hero" player.

Improvements: Although talent was very knowledgeable of the teams and players and of the sport, there was a few times where they begin to talk over each other and not taking a beat or laying out to let each commentator get their sentence out. The natural sounds were a little thin, by adding just one more additional mic that is just pointed at the field can help get more audio soundscape and enhance the viewer's experience.

Positives: - Replay operator did a great job of having a look ready quickly so that we were able to see the entire play again! - Announcers did a really good job - thought the touchdown call was great.

Improvements: - Game camera was a little too wide. Especially on the touchdown, once you know where the ball is and that it's clearly going to be a big play, work on some SLOW, controlled zooming in on the action to help viewers really be able to see what's happening. Controlled is key! - For the announcers, watch talking over each other. Work on giving each other the space to complete your thoughts, because it can be difficult to understand if both of you talk at the same time.

Positives: Good replays at the expense of not seeing the initial play closer. Announcers do a good job of playing off of each other.

Improvements: Had too much extraneous video in the touchdown play. Again, the camera needed to push in when it was known who was going to catch the ball. I think the director didn’t want Camera one to be the same as the close-up camera, but there needed to be a happy medium. Main camera needs to push in when the actions moves. Use the zoom, that’s what it is for. Be careful not to duplicate shot of close-up camera.
